Alatish National Park was established in 2006. The general topography of the park is flat to undulating plains, with a general slope or inclination from the south to the north, interrupted by valleys, streams, scattered hills, and seasonal wetlands. Elevation ranges from 520m to 920m above sea level.

Location: 970km north of Addis Abeba, in QuaraWereda, North Gondar Zone, Amhara Regional State.
Size: 2,665sqkm

Hours: 6:00am to 6:00pm.
When to Go: September 20 to February 7 and May 15 to July 23. The Park is closed from February 8 to May 14 and from July 24 to September 19.

Things to See and Do: See elephant and greater and lesser kudu.
